Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 19, 2026

This policy explains how Sorii 日常 handles information when you plan family activities, manage tasks and habits, and keep growth records. It also covers this policy website and support correspondence.

1. Information handled by Sorii

  • Family profiles: names or nicknames, roles, optional birthdays and profile photos.
  • Invitations and membership: the email address or phone number entered for an invitation, Apple-provided account and participant identifiers, and membership history. Invitation contact details are saved in the family’s member records and synced to family participants; they are not used only temporarily.
  • Family content: schedules, manually entered places, tasks, habits, notes, submitted photos, review results, completion history, points and growth records.
  • Operation and sync information: record identifiers, timestamps, versions, deletion markers and local preferences needed to save, sync and restore your records.

Sorii uses your device’s iCloud account for cloud features and does not create a separate Sorii password account. We do not receive your Apple Account password. The app does not request your contacts or device location; a place you type into a schedule is part of that schedule.

2. How information is used and shared

Information is used to provide the features you request: organising family life, displaying records, calculating progress and points, sending reminders, identifying invited members and syncing devices.

Family sharing uses Apple CloudKit. Shared family records and attachments are distributed to participating accounts. The app presents information and actions according to family roles; this is not a separate private vault for each child. Task evidence can be viewed by family members, and saved invitation contact details are shared with participants. Only add information you intend to share with your family.

The family owner manages invitations and access. Removing access stops future authorised sharing, but cannot retract screenshots, exports or other copies someone has already made. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

3. Your permissions and choices

The app asks for camera access when you take a photo and uses the system photo picker for images you choose. Selected images may be copied, compressed, stored and synced as attachments. It does not upload your entire photo library. Notification permission enables reminders.

You can decline these permissions or change them in iOS Settings. Declining affects the related feature. You can manage iCloud through Apple’s settings and stop family sharing through the app’s available family controls. Turning off a permission or sync does not itself erase previously saved information.

4. Retention and deletion

Family records are retained on your devices and in iCloud to support ongoing use, history and recovery. They do not all expire automatically. Review history, task submissions, photos, points history, sync deletion markers and recoverable records may remain after an item is cancelled, archived or removed from the current view.

Use the editing and deletion controls available for each record. Leaving or dissolving a family is an access change, not an instruction to erase all records: the owner’s data and family history may remain. When shared access ends, the app clears local shared records it can safely identify; files whose ownership cannot be confirmed may be retained to avoid deleting private content. Switching iCloud accounts keeps account-specific local data separate rather than erasing it.

Sorii does not currently offer a single control that permanently erases every record and copy. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete iCloud data, backups or copies on other devices. Contact us for help identifying the applicable controls; we cannot directly access or erase your private iCloud records.

5. Children and family use

Sorii is designed for family use with a parent or guardian managing children’s participation. A parent or guardian should authorise information added about a child, explain who in the family can see it, and manage invitations and permissions. Please follow Apple’s rules for children’s accounts.

Do not add unnecessary sensitive information about children or other people. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child’s information or an unintended disclosure. We can help with available controls and remove information you sent directly to support where appropriate.

6. Service providers and security

Apple provides iCloud, CloudKit, platform security and distribution services. Apple may provide us with crash reports, diagnostics or TestFlight feedback according to your Apple settings and testing choices. Sorii does not embed a separate third-party analytics SDK.

We rely on iOS protections and Apple’s cloud security mechanisms, and this website uses HTTPS. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device and Apple Account and invite only people you trust.

Apple, Cloudflare and our email provider Google may process information in countries other than your own under their respective service terms and privacy policies: Apple, Cloudflare and Google.

7. This website and support email

This policy page is hosted by Cloudflare. Delivering and securing the page involves technical request information, such as an IP address, browser information and access time. We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, web forms or external fonts to the page.

If you email support, we receive your address and anything you choose to send, including attachments. We use this information to respond, investigate issues and handle privacy requests. Correspondence is retained only as needed for those purposes and applicable legal obligations. Do not send passwords or unnecessary identifying information about children.

8. Privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to your local data protection authority. Where applicable, we process information to provide requested services, with consent for optional permissions, and for legitimate interests in support and security or to meet legal obligations.

To make a request, contact hogus at the address below and describe what you need. We may ask for proportionate information to verify the request, but never your Apple Account password. For data stored in your iCloud account or another family member’s shared records, we can explain the available app and Apple controls; we do not have administrative access to those records.
